The last Board meeting minutes posted on the website was from November of last year.
Continuing the tradition of keeping the membership from knowing what is going on regarding the management of the organization. The current excuse of technical difficulties in recording the minutes is worn out.
BoD would probably appreciate your volunteer services to transcribe the minutes of each meeting and then present to the BoD on the next meeting for approval and amendments before posting. Minutes must be approved before they are posted so at least not before the meeting after the minutes are taken and then the time for posting thereafter. - Ask- be part of the solution, not the negativity. There is a lot of work to transcribing and taking accurate notes of the proceedings.
Thanks for the reminder Will! I’d forgotten to post them up, Dec and Jan will be up asap. Feb will be approved at the next BOD meeting end of March. And if you fancy the post of Recording Secretary, Will, it’s vacant!
Hi, Deebo.
A suggestion - if I may -Be careful of your complexion, Sir.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
I have no interest in participating in the management of this club. I am a subscriber to the magazine and user of the bulletin board.
I was on the IRS website looking at IRS 990 filings for non- profit organizations. The last one filed for the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club, (Salem, OR, ID 93- 109 3047) was for 2023.
Have there been later filings?
i believe there have. Kurt has been working diligently to ensure records are up to date since our Treasurer stepped down.
deebo you may already be aware there is software tools to help transcribe minutes of meetings etc maybe something the board can look at to make life easier in the future.
"i reject your reality and substitute my own" - adam savage. i suspect my final words maybe "well shit, that didnt work"
instead of perfection some times we just have to accept practicality
