Hello all. Hooked up the old Thirty to a Massey Harris disk and made some dust this afternoon. I think I got the rings pretty well seated.
BP.
Great looking machine. Love the pictures!
Cataholic!
Hi, Bruce P.
Great stuff. Thanks for the photos. How did she handle the load?
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Thanks. Handled that disk pretty easily in third. Pulled it ok in fourth too. Governor seems snappier than the 4G D4. I suspect that’s because I’ve never been around a fresh 4G.
I can’t get over how nice it starts.
I watched the video you posted it does sound like it was very happy working with the disc, temp and pressure was very good also,
great work Bruce
Bruce P, The Late Great "WILLIE" always said that his 30 would out pull an early D4. I dont know if it is true or just Willies love of gas Cats.
Hi team, where's the link to the video?
HI Neil it came up on my FB acme I think??
Dad told me years ago, a Thirty with high compession pistons would out work a RD-4 easily. The worn out tired Thirty I was gifted pulled the same loads a D4 did in the prune orchards. Standard gauge vs wide gauge was a big difference in pulling, especially on turns, wide being superior. I knew of only one (new) Thirty as BP has so overhauled, but never saw it run. Willie's statement would agree with Dad. - cts
