"There are no lions here"...that's what the CO DOW would say, same with lynx & wolves in this state. Until a wolf got killed by a truck on the highway, it was hard to deny then...

I have lived here for 46 years and have seen the cats just a few times but I always thought they walked through at night, I was right.
Mountain lions are nothing to take lightly, my better half said she saw one here on the ranch while riding her horse, scared her pretty bad and rightfully so, there was a bicycle rider killed by one on a trail in the hills above Sacramento about a month ago.
