Seen this ol' girl in a little city parks in one of the towns I drive through heading to work.....had to stop and take some pics for you guys

Check out the tracks, the pad and rail are cast in one piece of mag. steel. They were produced be Essco for Red River Lumber co of Westwood Ca.

lmao...westwood Ca.....good ole' Plumas co. Ca.....LMAO...I grew up in that area kinda.....spent my early logging years...including the last year my dad and I worked together.....loggin a piece right between Westwood and Chester....on the East side of Lake Almanore.....I was runnin a D7G grapple cat and my dad ran 518 skidder.....every morning.....I would crawl up this rock trail to get to to highest precipice I could get to...and watch the sunrise coming over the mountians with coffee and a cigar....I was 22 or 23 at the time lol....soonas the sun was up....id start getting logs.......met my wife in Quincy Ca......home of Plumas Co......a lot of good memories from there

great photo's and the story to go with them

When I was a kid I grew up in a area of Australia were logging and farming was all that was there and every little town had crawler tractor in the parks for kids to play on
The OHS fun police took the old dozers out of the parks in the late 90's I know of only one old 17A D7 left now

The one in the park I new best as a kid was a RD 6 all of them gone to China now
