A very good friend of mine Bill Berland Passed away last week his father Ross Bergland started in 1922 selling pumps and soon added other products like engines and the CLBest tractor line. Then after the merger Caterpillar gave him Cat dealership over the local Holt dealer where he sold Caterpillar and John Deere for farming and construction equip. Napa Valley being all orchards and some vineyards gave him the out to sell the most D2s sold at any Cat dealership with stores in Willits Ca that was specializing Logging Equip and in Santa Rosa Ca for farm and construction eqiup. He and Ted Halton were neighbors as kids and did everthing together while Teds dad was a Bergland salesman. When a dealership in Portland OR came avail.
