I was just perusing craigslist and stumbled on this beauty in NJ. Sure looks like the real deal to me. I have no connection to this machine, just thought you guys would enjoy looking at it. Chuck

I don't know much about D8's but that tractor looks amazing, even has the shield under the diesel tank in place. That would make a heck of a snow plow!!!

Thanks for posting!

Lots of slack in the left side but for $20K, it would be a cheap fix!

Looks great, priced right. The claim of original paint is a bit much as I can see where the hydraulic hoses were taped off but the hose ends were left uncovered and painted yellow. Oops! Still, hard to find one that clean...

Origional paint may be still there but underneath a fresher coat. Tracks look to have done a lot of work. Would still be welcome here.

Certainly been repainted, and he's made it out to be about 8-10yrs younger than it actually is (mid-late '60's).

Late '60's I reckon, 270hp 46A series machine, no obvious battle scars on the fender brackets or dozer arms, tracks my look more worn than they are because they are slack but the top rollers are well worn.
The D8H was replaced by the D8K in around 1973 and I don't think many were fitted with pony motors after 1969.

A lot of machine for the money if it runs like it looks. Straight old girl!
