I don't have anything on BeGe scrapers but that one looks to be in really good shape. Nice find.

I was hoping to find someone that had a copy of the original sales literature or manual (ops and parts). And maybe some idea when they were made.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but this patent application does give the company address...might make some good plans for a model...

John, all I can find is this (quite comprehensive) Be-Ge company history .. http://www.pinnaclenews.com/life/contentview.asp?c=199460

I'd suggest you try the UC Davis library or any other local large library, to see if they hold any of the Be-Ge sales literature or manuals.

Regards - Ron.

OM - Your anti-virus must be in overdrive, I have Spy-Bot Search & Destory, Spyzooka, and Spyware Blaster, running full time .. and none of those programs warned me of any particular danger. Many of these websites have tracking cookies so they can follow your movements to their site .. nothing out of the ordinary about that .. eBay is one of the biggest users of tracking tools.

However, to avoid any problems, here is the .PDF file with the story .. I can assure you, there's nothing viral about this file, it has been created by me .. 😊

Thanks Oz,
Came through clean that time...interesting reading....history right at my back door as I had a fair amount of working history with the canning industry in Gilroy
(Felice & Perelli). The Gentry mentioned became the owner of Gentry Foods, the newspaper referred to is the "Gilroy Dispatch". Used to go by the old Be-Ge plant on the old (101) Monterey Highway (then a warehouse) many times. Never did get the story on the demise of the company though.....seemed to disappear in the late 60's. Literature on the Be-Ge products seems to be almost non existent.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
