Hi,
I bought 2 sets of Autolite plugs the other day 3076 and 3077.
I noticed the new plugs have a shiny base rather than the black oxide.
Has anyone used or have any experience with these new plugs.

Thanks
Scott

The NGK plugs are also plated.....don't think it makes any difference, may even curb the tendency to rust.

Scott,

I use the Autolite 3077 plugs in my TEN. They are a little hotter and stay cleaner during shorter runs. I agree with Old Magnet, the plated base will not corrode as fast but really shouldn't make a difference on how the plug fires.

sr4440,
You didn't say what you were using the 3076/3077 plugs in? They are a 7/8" x 18 tpi plug...not for the pancake pony motors. They are a non-resister type plug.

What's a "Pancake" pony motor? I only know of the Horizontal cylinder and the Vertical cylinder ponys.👋
