I have never seen one before, of course I haven't seen all that much. It looks of fairly modern vintage, perhaps that is why I haven't seen one here.

I'm not afraid of hard work; I can lay down beside it anytime and take a nap.

That is odd, looks like the back end of a 910 wheel loader, 3204 engine. Since its a "royal" probably Canadian made? Come on MOG5858 you awake???? lol

Wow! Never knew CAT did that kind of machine. I have seen some others that were for the same purposes but they were all wheel steer instead of articulated. Sort of figured they were built because CAT and JD etc didn't produce models like that.

I agree on the 910 lineage. They had a 3204 CAT with a 3 speed powershift transmission behind a torque converter.

I think it would be important that the articulation joints were in good shape. Might not get that much wear compared to a wheel loader though.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

It has a ram on the front end for steering. Probably steers and articulates like the 120. graders. Never seen anything like it either. Probably not heavy enough to do any heavy work.. The 120 with a 12ft board would not care a full board of damp material without sliding sideways.
