I was wondering if anyone out there knows of or personally has a Panther crawler like this one pictured. To the best of my knowledge I know there are three in Calif, one in Wyoming, one in MN, one in Ill/Ind but not sure if there are more than ten still in existence.

These crawlers were made in 1940's or 1950's in Dallas Texas as tractors to supposedly pull oil field gear though I have seen an advertisement showing them for farm applications.

Any information would be appreciated if you could email me at [email protected]

Thanks for looking, Greg

(BTW before anyone sayes it, the seat is NOT supposed to point backwards, the bolt was loose and it spun around while I was bringing this one home)

I saw one on Sacramento Craigslist, thought about for a second, but passed on it. Sorry don't know anything about this tractor. Have you tried searching yahoo groups.. "garden crawlers" or something like that.

I stumbled onto once at lunch time on my old work computer. That guy was an authority on ALL those little crawlers. He had compiled all kinds of data on the mini's with some photographic evidence.

Wish I could remember how I found his page????

D4E, I posted on the Yahoo website this AM but have had better response from you guys.

Shawn, That is good feedback with the two at the local PA show and one at auction, that puts the total count at nine that I can track to different states or owners. Greg
