Anyone have trouble with these brushes breaking off after awhile? Well I went and got an old tooth brush and stamped a round hole in the cap and pushed the brush through. Works great, gets the anti-seize in the bolt threads better too. Used a brush that was narrow in the middle and larger towards the ends.

Rome/KG,

I've recently started using one of the bolt dip applicators and like it. Seems to be less mess and doesn't overapply like I usually do. Thanks.

Usually mine start getting dry and the bristles start flattening out.
Thanks for the tip!

I throw those brushes away, punch a hole in the lid and use solder flux brushes or sometimes called acid brushes.

I don't why you bother. Isn't there something in the directions that says you are supposed to get that stuff all over every exposed inch of your body when using it? It just seemed to me that a crummy applicator was necessary for proper application. Was I misinformed???

Hi, ROME/KG.
I'm disappointed in you, M8. After all the helpful and informative posts that you have put up here showcasing your knowledge and inventiveness, I would have at least expected you would set up an ELECTRIC toothbrush.

LOL.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Anti-seize is one thing that when you call to order it you get it on your ear!

Lol Deas! ya its messy enough without it flying off the brush. It's like some greases takes a weak to get it washed off your hands. If the anti seize does get dried out just add oil to it and mix.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
