Carco built a lot of logging related equipment . This is Carco blade with electric tilt. Sorry if AC dozers are not your thing. It is the last part.[url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah9nu1OBL2Q]HD15...HD20

Never had the opportunity to meet Mel Ford , but have interacted with him on the AC board for years. He has made a living running the old AC stuff. So if AC is not a turn off check some of his other youtube videos out.

Orange paint! I saw his video on YT as well, kind of neat. I too, was wondering exactly where he was. A friend mentioned an AC hoarder of sorts by Ukiah or Potter Valley area which is only 2.5 hours from here. Some swear by (or at) the HD-11 models, depending on how they were configured. HD-11AG or HD-11S being the better ones?
Ray must be color blind... yellow, red and orange! Thanks for sharing. JM

They are north Sacramento Valley I think. My google say Redwood Valley is in Mendocino county. Mel talks of the fire being 6 years ago (?), I think. Anyway his house burned down the same years as Glen , 7upuller on here had the tail of his company cleaning houses under EPA / FEMA guidance. With the state of the lumber industry in California Mels family has moved to building concert septic tanks and the sand and gravel business. But real world knowledge logging, ranching, and the sand and gravel business. All done with vintage Allis Chalmers equipment. And every once in while a high track D6 gets in to.

He has had some interesting video of salvage logging and against government dictate he used an excavator to fish a gun safe out of his burned house and opened it. A very eye opening moment for me they don't do much to save things inside from fire. I suspected that would be the case but always had hope.

Okay Ray, I think this is the same gentleman that Sparky2010 was telling me about. LOTS of Persian Orange paint there!
On another note, are you able to make it to SM Best of the West this year? Trying our "Best" to be part of it this year. JM

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
