Came across this old magneto and wanted to verify what years and models it fits. Also what is it worth appox.? It apperas to be on good condition, found it in an old barn.

The only thing on the tag is MJA-C. There are some casting numbers on the bottom that read MJ HG-1, and seperately a 14.

With no application number it is probably a universal replacement for a failed unit that would have to be configured to match.
Just to many combinations to figure out the hard way.
The MJA came in editions A,B,C,D. and either base mounted or verticle flange and with or without impulse coupling plus many timing variations. Also covered 1, 2, 4 and 6 cylinder applications.

Used on Case, Cat, Waukesha, Le Roi, Hercules, Continental and many other lesser know units.

This one is for a four cylinder and looks like a base mount (four threaded holes on the bottom). Thanks for all the info.
