JM -- maybe as a kid you did not get it out of 3rd gear but I have seen dust flying when you were in the seat. There was a story about one of the local farmers here running Sixty's - before they left the shop, 3rd gear was blocked off -- tracks lasted longer! Many of those rods for hand rails were broken where the threads met the seat pan frame. Never trusted them and that implement below your backside was often too close for comfort.
