I have a D6-9U Serial #9U28590 that has a hydraulic blade, manual angle, manual tilt. I would like to put a hydraulic tilt on it (climbing on and off isn't as much fun now as it was 40 years ago). Any suggestions as to where I should look for an assembly to accomplish this? Thanks.

Nothing available commercially that I know of. That's something you will have to shop build. Choice of belt drive pump off the fan belt or off the generator drive. Doesn't take a very big pump, some get by with power steering pump.
A few have tackled the job on here but info is pretty sparse.
Here's one in a video.

That would be way overkill for a tilt cylinder that only needs a few gpm.

Is it possible to install a priority valve in the hydraulic circuit for the tilt ram?

One of my cat books show a diverter valve for using a ripper, seems possible for a tilt cylinder too.

I went with the belt drive power steering pump setup. It works great. These guys helped me through the process a few years ago.

Hi Joel59,
Could you post some pictures of your tilt conversion?

I realize it is a pretty crude setup. Put it has served me well so far!
