Hello
The problem is the left steering clutch will not disengage. But it was working a couple of days ago,now nothing. Does anyone know how to check or adjust the linkage properly. The only time I can get it to work is in low reverse pulling the lever and brake on. help please😕

the lever feels like there is freeplay from where it sits say to about 12 o'clock then I start feeling resistance then the lever is right against the seat frame. Is there any keys at the bottom of the lever. The parts book doesn't show anything.

Yes, there are six keys at various locations on the cross shaft.

It has been awhile for me to get a chance to actually take it apart. Once it was apart and cleaned up, I noticed that the keyway has expanded to almost 3/8" wide. So what do I do? Weld up the bore and start filing or get a good used bracket? (2B929) part of the left steering clutch lever.

thanks for your help

GWH,
Due to the imposed limitations on picture files it is required that previous pictures be eliminated to provide more. Penalty for not having archives and such limitations. Also a very big PITA to not be able to post a legible full manual page of information (293kb).
Ya, I know you can post using a host site for pictures but that just doubles the effort for the user. Sorta gave up on this ever evolving but since you asked......

I can re-post the instructions if there is a need.

firekat,
Those are some of the options.....
Depending on the size of the boss it may be possible to bore the end out and replace it with a keyed collar....sorta like a bushing only with keyway.
Also may be able to cut the whole end off and replace it with a similar section from something with similar (good) end.
or...weld the whole thing up and do the machining over.
