I think we still have a list of places that sell "Vintage" Cat parts buried in the members only section along with the library of Cat parts and serviceman's reference books. Would it make sense have that parts seller out in the open. Then ask the sellers listed to make a small contribution. It is asking a lot to have someone join the organization to see if possible we have something to help them. If only a few of the sellers were to give the amount of a membership the club might be dollars ahead, and we have provided a service. Now seeing there is real help here it could act as bait for them to buy a membership to see the library.
Just a thought to think about.
I think that’s a good idea. Making the parts-supplier list public would give new visitors something useful straight away, while the library and other resources could remain a strong reason to become a member. If a few suppliers were willing to contribute, it could benefit both the club and the members.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
