Built in Brazil, mainly for the Brazilian market as far as I understand. They were meant to be a dual purpose ag/construction machine.

Speaking of mysteries looking at Machine Trader or similar. It seems Cat was making D6,and D7 size flat track dozers for Asia, not that long ago. Or at least that is were they were for sale used. 😆 Or was it a scammer trying suck in haters of high tracks like the one Bob I believe his name was in my early days visiting this forum.
Interesting all the variations that show up when looking beyond your own back yard. By chance there was a AG6 that was near me,but until this bulletin board I never knew they made a prototype AG4, and let it escape in a collector's hands.
Yeah the D7G was in production for other countries long after it was not available here. Till about the mid 90’s

Back in the early 90's I bought a 518 skidder from Long Machinery in Lewiston Id.and they had a prototype AG4 there.They wanted me to use it and put hours on it but unfortunatly I was finished with my spring farm work and could not do it.Was there only one or did they have more of them around the country?
