instead of perfection some times we just have to accept practicality
you'd be surprised just how well it will pack just with the wheels of the grader.

That delicate work would drive me nuts!! Thankfully on the farm building terraces and farm roads, all I have to worry about is gopher mounds!!
Thanks for posting!

Hi, trainzkid88.
No, I would not be surprised because I do the exact same thing.
Hi D4Jim.
It does help if you have a good mindset for it, take it as a challenge to see just how well you can do it. That way, you're always trying to improve your skills.

Hi, Bernie

"tickle the curb"
Unquote.
That is one of the art forms of a good blade hand, being able to rub or 'tickle' the curb/kerb without chewing lumps out of it or otherwise marking it up. I do it slightly differently from this man in that I roll the moldboard well forward which seems to lessen the amount of material thrown/pushed up on to the kerb as you see happening in that video. It is almost impossible to avoid getting any material up there but I think I put less up there than most - - - well, at least onna good day. LOL.

I enjoyed his video and have seen only a few excellent operators over the years. Driven more than one “blue top” for them….in my younger days.
Enjoy your day, Deas and keep safe to all.

Hi, bernie.
That man now has a collection of videos about various aspects of operating a grader around sub-divisions. I have seen four, maybe five although I have so far only watched two of them.
Maybe you should get those chains into your blade and start showing the young guys how it's done.
