yea--I guess every body calls them something different for sure---when you want zero deflection on a vehicle hit they are cast with holes in the lower "flange" to drive posts thru--every guide rail and traffic barrier has a defined allowable movement--cable barriers being the largest and these being the least aside from a pored concrete wall
