977H Hydraulic pump

Hello guys,

Has anyone ever heard of a gear pump conversion for a 977H? I'm going to need to rebuild the pump on mine, it moans when it gets hot and it doesn't seem to have as much pressure as it should... I haven't put any gauges on it yet, but when it warms up it sure gets weak. The filter was replaced not long ago and all new hydraulic fluid put in at the same time...

I have only seen orginal vane type pump on this machine .I have seen the problem where the vanes eat out the ring due to the pump sucking air on the sucksion side .The vane bounce on the ring . So jf you replace the pump or rebuild it ,make sure to reseal and replace the hoses on the steel sucksion tube ,and use new high strength clamps on tthe hoses .The hoses due to heat over time get hard ,and don't seal the steel tube . This was a on going problem yrs ago when I worked on these loaders

Don't see a gear pump attachment option until a 977L 14X model.....part of a hydraulic arrangement with fire resistant fluid #9J8767 Gear Pump Group.

Don't know if that would fit or not.
