Has anyone ever seen or have a 977 with the bull dozer blade attachment. The serial number starts with 43D1 and up and is based on a 20A 977. Cant imagine it was a very popular option. Looks like the bucket would be removed im guessing and the uprights pinned to plates welded to the loader arms. Here a pic of the cover to parts book and the page that shows the blade arrangement.

Yes , the HT4 Traxcavators used them also. Pipeliners sometimes used them or municipalities.

I have never seen one but remember reading years ago that on the later models you would rotate the idler bearing blocks 180 degrees to run the idlers in the high position

Why would you do that? They should always be in the low position unless doing excessive drawbar work.

Why would you do that? They should always be in the low position unless doing excessive drawbar work.
It's probably what he meant but got it back to front accidentally
