Finally got a chance to work a few hours taking the engine out of my 955 loader. After disconnecting everything on top, I got underneath on the creeper, man there's not much room. Ist question: do the oil cooler lines disconnect from the engine cooler by removing the clamps and pulling them out? 2nd question: how does this engine come out over the cross member? There is a little lip on the bell housing, do I unbolt the cross member from the frame and jack the front of the machine up a little or pull the engine/transmission out as an assembly?😕 Phil

Yes you have to raise the loader frame up about 4" to clear the crossbeam,remove the three bolts on each side where the loader is bolted to the crossbeam,also remove the two bolts either side from the bracket on the track frame to the loader frame in front of the sprockets and then jack up the front and put a 4" block in either side between the crossbeam and frame,the pipes going into the cooler will pull out when the clamps are removed,I used to have a custom made piece of T bar for removing the engine,there is threaded holes in the cylinder head for fitting a lifting bar,as far as I remember it is important when fitting the engine to have it at the correct angle so the sealing rings on the torque don't get broken.

Thanks A.J., it's so much easier when you talk to someone who has done it. I will take your advice on the sealing rings and get the angle correct at installation. Phil😊
