Is there a better to remove The starter motor other than removing the belly pan to get to it ? I am going to turn into this project tonight and would like any helpful suggestions

Investigate for yourself whether the belly pan needs to come off or not.
I don't believe it does but I am not certain. Starter needs to come straight out about 4 to 5" to clear the flywheel housing after removing the three 5/8" mounting bolts. If at all possible rig up some sort of strap sling as the unit is heavy and very awkward to deal with in the loader.
