Yup, got my fives mixed up with the fours, thanks eddie.
Just about everything on the D330c Industrial is different than the D330a vehicular engine. Flywheel housings are different as well but I see the housing to engine gasket is the same 9H5921 part number so they may interchange. Front engine support is different for the two engines but you may be able to work around that. Be interesting to see how this project works out. Please keep us posted.

[quote="edb"]Hi Team,
I feel OM has had one of my Seniors moments like I suffer often and mis-quoted the D330 engine bore sizes as 5.5" bore and 5.75", but I would be sure he meant to write 4.5" and 4.75" bore sizes for the respective D330 engines.
Cheers,

Good to know about the flywheel housing. It looks like a very similar part just with a different mount so I do think it will bolt on.
The front mount on my Traxcavator is really neither of those styles, but I will just fab something up to work. I'll get some pictures just to provide info to the forum. Currently, the mounts on my traxcavator/original engine are of a solid mount (IIRC) with one bolt going down from the top and one going down from the bottom (maybe to counter the engine torque?). But otherwise, I'd say the engine mount situation will also not be a problem. I will have to convert the machine to electric fans as there is no accommodation for a mechanical fan on the industrial gear driven water pump, and the coolers, and oil filter will be custom hot rod parts at this point. Meaning, as long as you all think this engine will bolt in and "work" I'll have to just work through making it function. I'm basically "LS Swapping" this machine haha
The engine I have is very low hours and in good shape, and for the cost of it it is a better deal than going through my failed engine. The crank is toast, it needs a full rebuild, etc. The machine does have confirmed good steering clutches and U/C so it is "worth" fixing for the low hours we actually use it per year.

EDIT - I also just looked at the pictures and the front mount on mine is that style, but with different end pieces. I bet I can fab that up to work. Or just mount it in using other mounts. Further, does anyone know any way to achieve mechanical fans on the industrial engine?
