I have a fuel leak that has developed on the fuel transfer pump/hour meter on my 60A Series 955 Traxcavator. Fuel appears to be pouring out of what looks like a tachometer cable connection on the Righthand/Outboard side of the hour meter. The parts book does not show any sort of tachometer drive, but I am aware that this 9M3867 arrangement is used in other applications.
My question is: Is there a gasket inside that I will need to replace, a cap that goes over the outside, or do I pull the tachometer drive and replace it with a plug?
The machine is a considerable distance away as I am using it to clean up a farm that my family used to own, so I would like to be as prepared as possible when I go up there. Thank you.
