955 12a serial number question

I am looking at 955 with serial number 12A7288. I have two questions
Question one: is what year is this machine?
Question two: will the parts from a machine with serial number 12a3314 interchange with this a machine? I seen some discussion that there is a serial break that parts will not interchange.

12A7288 is a 1959 machine
12A3314 is a 1957 machine.
The major change was at 12A5793 when they went from a D4 undercarriage to a D6 undercarriage.
