Hello, the 951C 69H we have has always been a good starter until recently. All the glow plugs work, I think I am having a fuel problem. The last couple of times I have tried to start the machine it just dosent want to get going. I reprimed the fuel filter (dont know if that helped or not) and finally got it going. I was wondering if it is somehow losing prime, or if the Im not sure if it is called a lift or supply pump is going bad. The fuel pressure guage has been reading low for a while, but never before seemed to effect performance. jbeam

Are you sure your fuel filters are not plugged?? My 941b went from full load pushing to stalling out in about 90 seconds from a clogged filter.

The fuel pressure gauge reads the pressure after the filter and is there to give you an indication of when you need to change the filter. On IHC machines it even told you on the gauge.

Hi
The one I ran for years--had a small strainer--before the pump and filter
Look for it--
when it would be hard to start--that was the quick fix

Look underneath the fuel tank for a box type glass water seperator/sediment trap as I think the 951C should have one, that needs to be clean and the fuel flowing through it,if you do not have that you will have a small steel sediment bowl under the transfer pump, that needs to be clean too, change the spin on filter and bleed the system, the pump fitted to that engine is known for the rack sticking in the shut down position, when the engine is stopped it is a good idea to put the throttle on full after the engine is shut down, that way it is in the run position rather than the shut down for the next start.
