I dont know if this is too broad of a question and if there is more info needed to answer it or if some of you seasoned guys will be laughing at me at even posing these questions but.....

Can anyone tell me if a 941B track and/or shoes will fit a 941?

the shoes on my 941 are pretty worn and I'm looking at a parts machine that has good shoes. parts machine does run/move.

Is it easier to just swap out tracks from one machine to the other?
How hard of a job is that to do? vs. swap all the indiv. shoes from side to side? (I imagine THAT is quite a job, all shoes, both sides for both machines!)

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!
thanks!

As far as I remember they are identical, some early ones may have had smaller bolts, but if you check the part numbers cast into the links and they are the same and both have the same number of links they will fit.

Thank you!

do you know if you have to remove a shoe to see the part number cast or is there a way to view it without removing it?

The part number is cast in the side of the link adjacent to the shoe.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
