Old Magnet , help, not to serious

The Loader was running just fine till I decided to repair the seal around the injector No 4. The O ring was torn . Well I thought I would change the tips, that when the problem started.
1- the machine would run for short few min , then loose prime
2- started to look at other issues , like filter water separator , hose etc.
3- went back and took off the injector tips and found the no 1 was all fouled up look at
the pic

Do I need to change the fouled tips or be concerned about the Pre Combustion chamber

No 1 is not sealing in the chamber causing the soot that you see and compression gas (air) getting back into the fuel system. You will need a long wooden dowel cut the shape of the injector at one end with a strip of abrasive paper round it to clean the seat up to get it to seal again.

Hi Ali, been a long time!!!
Be sure you don't over torque the nozzle retainer nut and risk distorting the nozzle.
Recommended torque is 105 +/- 5 ft. lbs.

Hi Old Magnet , yes it is been a long time , we had family sickness , all well now

Today I tested these injector at the diesel pump shop, there were 2 bad and 2 not so good. These were bought new
at the same had them test my old ones the were excellent, so I am going back with old one. I guess They are Cat USA rather than after market junk.😉
Yes I appreciate your recommendation, My plan to clean PC chamber , got a wire brush mount it on drill hopefully they will clean up , and seat better.

the shop guy was showing to finger twist the injector to the adopter like finger snap. so I will be careful reinstalling after good cleaning

Hi all
Catsilver and Old Magnet were right ,
I was out of town finally got back , I was able to clean the PC Chamber , primed the pump and bled all air.
couple crank and she started .

I used long diegrinder and soft flapper wheel slightly making sure pc chamber is clean, and cleaned the adopter to make sure they were seated right.
Torgued as Old Magnet suggested 105 ft.lbs

About the sound, are you working the throttle or is it running rough?
Seems that Off Road Equipment has the stuff but some of it is junk. I had a go round with them over switches, more junk. Not a good sign if you are losing anti freeze internally.

If it's not getting in the oil or coming out the radiator overflow then you have an internal leak. Any bubbles in the radiator? Next candidates would be leaking head gasket, cracks, pin holes in combustion chambers or leaking combustion chamber seat sealing washers. Check the weep hole in the water pump is not plugged.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
