got the tilt hose replaced finally last week, then blew the lift hose under the floorboard got it replaced and tested it today, and when turning either direction i can hear a noise that i have never noticed before. kinda of a hissing sound. i have a video that you can hear it in, does it with both steering nothing with the brake, it seemed to be pulling good and turning normal as i was dragging a tree with it, but shut it off after i kept noticing this sound. Says this video is not available when I click to go!!!

If that unit has hydraulic boosted steering clutches check to see that the control valve rods are not hanging up.

All I hear is the engine running but then my hearing isn't the best.
Well maybe a slight change.

Hi, wlf89..
Some thing that just MAY give you a clue is the function of those pedals. The first 3" of travel disengages the steering clutch while the rest of the travel applies the brake. Taking note of where in the pedal travel the noise occurs might give a clue to it. Also, check your transmission fluid level.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Deas is on to something, these are 'boosted' steering clutches, oil is being relieved all the time he pedal is pressed, they all make some noise, maybe you haven't noticed it before.

fluid levels are good, my brother was there yesterday and he said he has never heard the noise either, but i dont know what wouldhave changed for it to just started. if they are "boosted" do they work off the the main hydrualic system or just the transmission fluid? wondering if got air in them or something?

Have you checked the steering clutch/bevel gear fluid levels? also how long since you cleaned the strainer and changed the filter ? Both are under the seat

By boosted, I mean that oil is being constantly relieved so the piston travel is relative to pedal travel, they use oil from the bevel gear compartment, advice about oil level and the screen, already posted, is very useful.

Try checking the adjustment of the steering clutch control linkage. With the roller just touching the valve stem and steering pedals held against the stop bolts adjust the linkage control rod to the longest length that will permit an easy fit of the pins in the pedals.

There is a pressure relief dump valve in the booster control. Maximum oil pressure will occur if a steering clutch will not disengage or pistons in the control valve are sticking.
That's probably the relief valve you are hearing. Pressures are fairly high, 800 psi max, 600 psi relief pressure.

Booster has its own separate circuit, pump, suction screen and filter.

just cleaned screen and changed filter for steering under the seat, rechecked fluid level and it was good. still making the whining noise and can feel the hose coming from the pump to the steering housing vibrating when its making the noise. everything seems to be adjusted correct. any more ideas on what i can check? im pretty sure i have never heard any noise at all coming from it untill the other day. when barely pushing it to disengage the clutch it dosnt make noise just when pushed far enough to brake.
