Hi guys,

I'm looking at all of my options now for getting my 941 up going.......(since the 941B parts machine I was looking to get might fall thru now w/ the seller.)

In any case, I'm trying to track down belly pans that are missing on my 941 (Serial # 80H1666).

Part Numbers:
5K9421
7K2827

From what I can gather the cost and shipping of these large plates is making them close to $1000 if I purchase and have them shipped in. I've been unsuccessful finding them locally

so my other option is to have them fabricated by a buddy who does metal fabrication. I'm hoping his time/material cost will be significantly less than $1000.

My ? is.....does anyone have the exact dimensions and bolt hole pattern to these two plates? I've been unsuccessful tracking this down on the net or in the parts manual.

I suppose i could have him take measurements from underneath and start from scratch, but I was hoping to locate the pattern and hole layout of the belly pans.

I read that the front plate (5K9421) is possibly hinged or has an bolt on access door for the oil drain plug. true?

I know the bolts are 1/2 UNC for the plates, but is there a part number or certain strength for these bolts...

any thoughts on the fabrication (or other options) of these plates would be helpful.

thanks!
JR

The bolts are high tensile grade 8, probably as cheap from the Cat dealer as anywhere.

on my 941B the small front plate is hinged, take out the 3 front bolts and it hinges down so that you can get to the engine oil pan drain plug
