Hi all, just wanted to share what I picked up last week. This machine had been sitting at an older man’s equipment yard for many years. I inquired about it about 15 years ago when I first saw it but never bought it. I did post some pics of it on the this site then-Well, he is now selling off most of his equipment that is out there in various degrees of condition and was able to scoop it up for a reasonable cost. Was intending to use it here and there on some land/small farm I have. Anyway, the undercarriage is in pretty good shape, bushing don’t have much wear ,sprockets don’t look too bad, although a recoil spring has a crack in it. Steers good , but needs brake adjusted on one side. Runs pretty good except it does have a little bit of white smoke with an occasional pop or misfire. No bubbles in radiator, though that needs to be flushed and all fluids changed as it mainly has sat unused and scarcely run in recent years but not totally abandoned. I’m wondering if the little bit of smoke and misfire is just from very old fuel and/or semi stuck injectors? I intend to change all fluids and filters and see if that helps but I did notice some black oil weeping out by the turbo, does that look suspicious to anyone?
Guess I will see if it improves when do some maintenance on it. Seems like a pretty good unit, could use some tlc and a little welding on the bucket, that rusted from collectin rain water.

Hello Chris, Your photos did not load. With the "new" website, only one photo may be loaded at a time as far as I am aware. I find it easiest to have them on my desktop (I run PC) then pick the photo I want to post, follow from the Icon at the end of the series at top of the post. Look forward to seeing you photos and I am certain someone will chime in on the questions you pose. -cts

Success with the photo uploads - and you are correct in the process being a arduous journey. Thanks for posting, I am sure there will be some with knowledge on these machines replying. - cts
