Did you adjust the steering clutchs so that if you measured from the dash to the handle on the steering clutch lever to have about 3 to 4 inches free travel before you feel clutch spring resistance ?
One way to check out if the clutches are releasing is to put the machine in gear traveling forward ,and pull back on both steering levers and hold both back with out applying the brakes .If the clutches are releasing the machine should gradually stop .
Its normal while traveling under a push load to be able to gradually turn the machine gradually by just using one steering clutch ,but for sharp turns both 1 steering clutch has to be released ,and same side brake applied at the same time
933 g is not build on a D4 frame Its actually an up dated D-2 version

It is normal to have to use the brakes to turn.

The 933 changed from D2 undercarriage to D4 undercarriage at s/n 11A2163. The 933F got final drive upgrades and forward/reverse lever and became the
42Axxxx s/n series.

Yes, components mounted to the track frame are D4. Loaders normally use flat shoes with triple grousers, D4 uses a more aggresive single grouser. D4 grousers will fit but they will tear up a lot more ground when maneuvering. Also harder on the undercarriage. On the other hand if your using the loader for skidding in the woods and hilly terraine flat shoes are almost useless and I have seen single grouser shoes used.

Are you needing brake bands or just the linings?

Not the same as D4
Part # is 6H1458 for a set of linings & rivets for one brake.
Regalcorp lists set for $28.01 or go to your local commercial brake/clutch shop, they should be able to reline using bonded linings which is now preferred.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
