One of my friends dropped this off at my place last weekend. He has lost one of the places he has kept stuff. I have wanted it since I sold my RD6 with a cable blade on it. He brought it over on a trailer pulled by a 5020 Deere. Last summer I had gone and started working on the fuel system for the starting engine and had gotten the starting engine fuel tank, carb, and air cleaner all cleaned up, reinstalled and ready to go. Earlier this week, I grabbed a battery and hooked it up to see it the electric starter for the starting engine would work. It did not. At some point it has had water in it and the armature was rusted tight between the field pole shoes and the field windings are junk. I grabbed the starter off of the 9U, made new cables and fired the starting engine up for what is probably the first time in 20 or more years. My friend just pull started it when he needed to use it. The turbo makes it a lot quieter than what I am used to a normal D318 being. There are a few more things to work on and check out before I am going to push some dirt with it. The alternator drive is going to have to go.

it is a neat and tidy machine with home delivery is a bonus Ken
