The difference is size. The #12 is the biggest grader they made at the time they came out 1947 with the D318 6 cyl. engine in it like the D6 tractor & the 9T #212 is the baby grader in other words & had the D311 4 cyl. engine in it like the D2 tractor & they too came out in 1947.The middle size grader is the #112 & used the D315 same as the D4 engine.
OM that reference for the 9T 212 SD weight is incorrect. 9T series 212 tandem drive graders' weight is around 13,800 pounds or more if equipped with cab and scarifier. That weight listing is for a "Single Drive axle" 9T. I don't think any 9T series graders were actually single drive.
