I am in the prosses of having my engine put back together after rebuild and the service manual says to put the marks on the crank and cam gear back the way they were before, when you put it back together. The million dallar question is how was it when I took it appart eight yrs. ago. The cam has two different marks on it, a single dot or center punch and another mark with two dots. any sugestions? Thanks, Jim

Put the single dot on the crank between the two dots on the cam. Do you have the valves installed? You could then turn it over by hand and watch the valves opening and closing in relation to the proper number piston's TDC.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
