I finished up the access road. Now i'm onto clearing trees off the property. The rake is a John Beales. Later to become Weldco-Beales. It's real heavy duty. This one is actually for a 7G so I had to put on some extra pockets. The key to a good rake is all in the teeth. Sharp points and long for clearance. I just tickle the the ground with the tips. The wood is mainly immature spruce and poplar. Walked them down and then rake at 90 degrees working from the root end. I'm real happy with the whole package. Cheers.

Yeah these are the small trees. They are way more fun than the big stumps. The areas with big wood I log first then use the hoe to pop out the stump and shake the dirt off.

Looks great!! It tickles me to see shiny tracks and blades. I wish we a had a smell-o-vision feature, I'd bet it's great. Like following a logging truck to town.

The pipe across the bottom keeps the teeth from going through the trailer deck. Lets you pull the rake off if you don't have any way to lift it off. I remember those smells from fresh clearing when I was a kid in northern Alberta. Cats and fresh clearing is one wonderful smell. Problem is once you have smelled so much diesel smoke over the years you don't really notice. Thanks. B
