D47U trans oil on dipstick is light brown (tan?) with white tinge. I assume water in the oil? I should change oil. I have 3 questions:

1. Where on the tractor do I drain the oil?
2. What kind/grade of oil?
3. Quantity of oil?

Thanks for any help.

There is a plug under the trans case in the center toward the back to drain it and they have been changing oils over the years but we always used 90 trans. oil in them but someone on hereI,m sure has the update on what is used now. The book says it holds 4 1/2 gal.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
