I'm trying to find a part number for the plastic precleaner cup. I have the 27570-up parts book but it doesn't list the precleaner cup.
I was going to put the old style precleaner with the jar but the tube is different size.
The air cleaner has a Donaldson tag on it.
Can someone provide a part number.

Discovered fuel in the injection pump oil sump when I went to change it. Must have just started because its just starting to weep but definitely leaking past the seals. So it looks like the pump is coming off before I can get it out of the shop. Its always something with these elderly Cats!

Looks like you’re sorted for the air cleaner cup but if there’s anything else you need to cross reference, in the Tech Library there’s a copy of the 1944 Accessory and Supply catalog and there are loads of Donaldson (and other OE manufacturers) parts diagrams in there. It’s a great resource for bearings and carbs too.

I've got one of those pre-cleaner units in service on a D4. I had to stuff a stainless steel (pot scrubber type brillo pad) in the inlet to keep mice out during long periods of non op.

gary go into any tractor dealer they have the replacement bowls. bare & co (bareco) make aftermarket ones in several sizes go into any stockist any they are a stocked item. just need the pipe outside dia to match up. a whole precleaner is not much more expensive than the bowl.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
