Hello -
I'm looking for replacement hydraulic hose connectors for my d4. The originals are rusted through and need replacing. Hoping someone can tell me the mfg/part number for a good working replacements. I believe the originals are a -12 code 61 o-ring faced straight flange. Wondering if there's a conversion to JIC?

Help much appreciated!
-Todd

If the original 2-bolt flanges are still in good condition, you can make a crimped hose using CAT fitting part# 124-2052 or equivalent (just make sure you put the flanges on before crimping the hose ends).  Picture below shows that.  If your flanges are rusted out, you will probably have to find a new ones, not aware of any way to convert over to a 4-bolt flange code 61.  Maybe someone else is though.

those fitting are still available but they are crimp on rather than bolt on. yes there sae code 61 dash 12 size.
any hose service can make you new hoses they will need to reuse the flange plates from the original hoses. if the flanges are damaged you can make your own if you have a milling machine there only medium tensile steel. these old girls have a max working pressure of 1500 psi.
you local cat dealer can also make them for you

just take the old hoses as a template.
dont forget to get new seals too
you can get adapter to jic fittings. but why bother crimp fittings arent that expensive. the only advantage is if you use field attachable jic fittings you can change you own hoses on site without a portable crimp machine.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
