Is it a worry if the head gasket of a '52 D4 7U is seeping oil? I don't see any oil or bubbles in the coolant, or sign of coolant in the engine oil. It runs great and I need to keep it running about 80 hrs/year. How hard is it to change the head gasket? I'm wondering if I should do it while the head gaskets are still (hopefully) available.

I've had the valve cover off a few times, but never taken off the injector tubing or rocker arm assembly.

Thanks,

Joe

Not a big deal to have a little oil seepage, usual at the front of the head. Got one of those that I live with myself. You could try retorquing the head. Next time you have the head off use gasket sealer and that takes care of it.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
