One of my D4s originally from the W. Sacramento/Woodland areas.

It hasn’t been worked since I bought it several years ago. Perhaps time for Sparky2010 or someone else to enjoy it.

Gday Juiceman. The tractor is a M 108 S. I didn’t look to see who made the cabin. The tractor started as open station then a company in Mildura Australia was importing the cab and fitting them to the best of my knowledge. I had a large electrical drama with it. Tractor would turn itself off when ever it liked, sometimes it wouldn’t restart and on some occasions you couldn’t turn it off. ECU failure was the drama but alot of testing to see if something was causing the ECU problem. Didn’t want to put a $4500 ECU in to have it happen again.

Ugh! I cannot blame you for attempting to diagonose before spending $$$. If it wasn't the electronics, I would have guessed a faulty ignition switch or something simple. The original 8030 4x4 Kubota we owned (sold new by our local CAT dealership) was a really good workhorse; my brother had H&B Machinery here widen the wheels and added extra weight. Downfall of those machines was 5th gear would not hold up, the weld on the gear/shaft did not like the stress. The dealers had a flat rate repair $ which was outrageous at the time. Orchard Machinery Corporation and several other manufacturers are nearby. They send a LOT of new equipment to your side of the planet for nuts, etc. The cab or "cabin" as you folks call them, caught my attention. Several manufacturers with similar design.

My apologies for highjacking Brians thread. JM

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
