I just a D4 and not sure if this serial number is correct, very hard to see because it's mounted on the lower left rear near the after drives housing.
The plate is very scratched from backing into rocks etc.

Anyone with the book give me a hand?

Thanks!😮

That seems correct and is a 1942 model.
Might be a 7 behind that US for 7th fleet but no doubt is a military unit, probably Navy.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
