Outstanding!

I now realize that no restoration project is too big! What a beautiful machine. Everyone involved can be proud of their accomplishments on this one! Thanks for sharing that video. We are lucky to have folks that have the resources and take the time to bring back such a large piece of equipment. A real Gem worth preserving.

Great piece of Video TC, where is this machine located and is it possible to see it ? Its now 43 years since I worked with a fleet of 72 of these monster tractors.

Beautiful restoration!
I'd kill to have a machine like that! Back in 1979, we purchased some tires for one of those machines; around $7000 each! I Can't imagine what they must cost now. Some time back, there was a very nice complete, fully fuctional 666 for sale, but I doubt that I could afford the fuel just to start it up. Nice big Cats!

Nice! Looks like it would take at least two lowboys to get it to a show. Dandy Dave!

I am very pleased you all sound realy smitten with the tripple6 there is another unit (666) parked in the same paddock in the hope that it might be possible to breed off them? the amount of work it has taken the owner to get things looking this good was some task, 50 U.K. size gallons of paint seemed to be a small item on the shopping list, the photos of the early D8 tractor rebuild dont show the important points, as the engine even has the old style (first/early) pistons with as much meat below the piston pin as above it, the tractor is best described as mint, the undercart is like new with the old style master pin fixing, the tracks are still loosening off some, but they are the best set of track groups I have seen on any early D8, it realy is about as good as a D8 can be, I am in the snaps looking like a Tramp.

there is more things to come. "Go Big or Go Home" tctractors

p.s. on the Low-loader thing in the U.K. that's a 1 truck load on 8 axles nothing fancy.
p.p.s. The little red car (Ford Ka) at the end of the video is the pilots road wheels, the wreck is worth about 30 quid (Pounds££) and makes a builders skip look tidy, its a funny old World sometimes.

WOW TC Tractors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is some fantastic work and dedication to this machine all the way over there in the UK. I know where there is a genuine 1 owner 666B downunder that should get the exact same treatment as this.

My own tastes would have had the non genuine ROPS removed but thats just me and the owner can be justifiably proud of his efforts on this one. She sounds mint to, was the engine/driveline gone through aswell or just cosmetics on the outside for all us to see?
