5U-D2 Bearings

I am looking for my 5U-D2 pony motor,the rod,main bearings and also the ring group.I have price them at Cat and found the rings to be about $10.00 each not to bad,but the mains and rod bearing are around $150 each.Just looking for some after market prices.Thanks Mike Durkin

Check Hastings for pony rings, I think I remember them having complete sets for around $35 or so.

I get a lot of parts from Florin Tractor in California, both genuine and AM, in fact I'm just about to order a heap more today, including the bearings and seals for my final drives on my D2 4U, their prices are very reasonable and service is great, talk to Dana or Judy, or email them as I do. I've found if you ask around a few places you can save yourself thousands on a rebuild, I saved almost a thousand just on the D2 final drive bellow seals.

You could also have the main bearings rebabbitted to your desired size. I had some rod bearings done by Antique Engine Bearing Service in CA. They did a great job and cost was about $95 per bearing with shipping. I bet they could do it cheaper than that for those bearings.
