A remarkable record by an old colleague of mine. 50 years working on a Caterpillar machine.
Jan has been with a pension for more than 2 years but wanted to complete the 50 years.
And for us there was a nice party last night where the Cat dealer handed him this beautiful letter and of course the bronze scale model bulldozer.

Hi, Quad.
All due congratulations to Jan for his 50 years 'in the saddle'. That is a pretty fair record and, if he never 'stood one on its ear' or caused a major failure, a record to be proud of.

BUTTTTTTT,

Where's mine????????????????????????????????????

I spent 50 years in the saddle BEFORE I retired almost 4 years ago and I didn't get any letter or brass model. And that's NOT counting all the hours I spent on Cat dozers BEFORE I went full-time. And I keep getting dragged back as well - - - as if I haven't done enough yet.

Good stuff, Jan. Now see if you can just sit back and enjoy the memories.

LOL.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
