My D9E and D9D push Cat are waiting on my bookshelf for the 491 to be placed between them. Didn't come in the mail today.
I received mine and they look great. Now all I need is a much longer shelf to have a push loading scene.
Mine made it all the way downunder today, another great addition to the older fleet. It sure is a big scraper and would have seen the D9E working hard to drag it around. Look forward to the future hydraulic D9E & G and has anybody touched on the possibility of other variants of the D9G once it is done, primarily the side by side model and also the DD9G? These in 1/25 scale with First Gear quality would in my opinion rival the CCM big $$ stuff.
The committee has looked at a DD9, but has just taken it out of the plan. The tooling cost and the selling price made us nervous when we looked at the business case. Also, another company is coming out with a DD9 in 1:50 scale, so there would be some competition.
A pipelayer is being considered, but nothing is certain as yet.
Glad you liked your 491 scraper. I do not have mine yet. I plan to pick it up at the factory as I pass by on a future trip.

Lee
Thanks for the heads up Lee, i guess it would have been a $800 + model in the end so can understand how it might not stack up in a business case.
Hmmmm maybe let the Cat out of the bag so to speak on another company doing a DD9 in 1/50?? If it is the one i have in mind we are in for a treat!
Is there a timeline for the next hydraulic D9,s at this stage?
Thanks
Hi Gavin84w,
If everything happens according to the project plan on the Hydraulic D9, the models will be available in January. Please don't hold me to that date because production problems sometimes occur resulting in delays.

Lee
Are there any plans for more 1/16 models that can be discussed?
We have a couple that we are considering, but it is too early to discuss them.

Lee
The model committee is doing a great job! Thanks for the hard work.
