Will the 44 hydrolic set up off Ag-Mike's D4, bolt up on my D2? Is the pump shaft the same? Is the pump bolt pattern on the D4 the same as the D2?

Same #44 used throughout but the D2 takes different mounting brackets and will have it's own drive arrangement. What model D2 do you have?

I have a Dakota system on my D2 but I don't like the tank mounted on the fender. And I prefer the "44" system with the tank, pump and guard on the nose and steel lines with the diverter handle to run lines to the rear of the tractor.

Sam,
as well as what OM posted, the pump cartridge for the D4 is 35 gal/min (or 30-something) and the cartridge for the D2 is 25 gal/min. If you're using the Cat cylinders, then the manual recommends making sure you have the right cartridge for the right tractor. Reason is that a D4 cartridge on a D2 makes the blade move too fast, and vice versa for a D2 cartridge on a D4. I've never used them so I don't have "field" experience but someone else on the forum will and will hopefully give an opinion.

mr. om, i understand about the d2 and d4 drive arrangement being different, but i found d4 and d2 rad bottom tanks (blackhole in back of barn) and hole centers are the same. 8.5" left/right, 2 3/8" up/down. what am i missing about you saying "different mounting brackets"? It was raining friday and joman took the 44 still bolted up to the d4400, so now i don't have it to measure.
We know the d4 hyd. guard will not fit up to d2 radiator asmbly.

thanks 4 ur help.

Hi Mike,
It's those outboard brackets that support the grill guard that I was referring to. Along with the differences mentioned the lines are different as well so I'd say forget about swapping the #44 from D4 to D2.
