I can't find my 41 hydraulic unit parts book. I am looking for the part number or aftermarket equivalent for the seal where the pto shaft enter the unit. This a front mount 2 valve unit.
Thanks

Original was 1B2346, or now it's two 3H1397 or CR15141 or Timken 51098 back to back is what I have written here for the #41 I'm about to fit to my D2 5U

Glad I could help Chuck, I just pulled that 1B2346 seal out of my pump this afternoon, so will need to get a replacement organised myself.

Hey guys don't mean to hijack the thread too much but I have a D2 with a serial number of 005U03173 and a power unit labled as 4W-178. I too have a seal leak up front and was getting ready to pull it apart. Can someone help guide me in the right direction for the part numbers I may need for the seal or seals? I haven't contacted CAT yet just read this post and figured I may as well ask.

Welcome to ACMOC, I took my pump to my local hydraulic shop and they fitted new bearings and a seal, the NTN bearings were only about $7.

Speaking of serial numbers, if the tag is gone off my #44, is there a stamped number somewhere on it?

Hi Neil, the serial tag is missing off my #41 and the only number I could find was inside on the hydraulic pump itself, I'm trying to find a cartridge kit for that pump right now.
